Mindful March

Mindful March

Life has been crazy in my world and my only goal for this month is to really be mindful. I tend to have so many items on my “To Do” list every day that I franctically zig and zag through my days without really ever taking a moment to breathe. So, I’m not setting any diet or fitness goals…I’m not trying to read more books or write more letters…I’m not going to try new things or conquer fears.

No, for this month, I’m simply going to try to be mindful. So I’ve made a coloring page for a standard A5 Leuchtturm1917 to share with you. It should work in a standard Moleskine as well. Happy March!

2017 Monthly Printables

2017 Monthly Printables

I know I haven’t posted much here lately, but please know I’m still a daily bullet journaler! I’ve just been incredibly busy, as I’m sure you all have been. So, since I know we’re all gearing up to prepare our 2017 Bullet Journals, I wanted to remind you that I have free printables available for download. I’ve pulled the 2017 pages out to post here to remind you guys that they exist! I hope to be back more often in the next few weeks as I wrap up 2016 and prepare for 2017.

Free Monday Start Monthly Printables

Free Monday Start Monthly Printables

Remember back when we discussed which we prefer on our Monthly View – a Monday start or a Sunday start? Well I decided I prefer a Monday start and have made some new printables to carry us out the rest of the year. My other printables are on this page if you prefer a Sunday start, but for those of you who agree with me – here are your monthly printables! I’m pretty sure these will work both a large Moleskine and on a Leuchtturm 1917 A5, which is what I use. Remember, these are free downloads so if there’s a problem be kind as you point it out to me. I’m a sensitive flower and get my feelings hurt easily.

Vertical Monthly Printables For The Rest Of 2016

Vertical Monthly Printables For The Rest Of 2016

I know it’s a bit late, but I built a few Portrait-Style monthly printables to finish out 2016. I’ve always had the Landscape Style pages on my printable page, but a few have asked for more vertical style pages. These are designed to fit my Leuchtturm 1917. So, if you use a Moleskine, you might have to print at a reduced size as the pages in the Moleskine are a tad narrower. (FYI – the 2017 pages are already available on the printables page if you’re planning ahead.)

Keep in mind, these are simply free downloads, I don’t make any guarantees of quality. If you’re kind, I’ll do my best to fix errors that are found. But if you are demanding and rude I’m probably just going to ignore you.

Summer Habit Tracker For Kids

Summer Habit Tracker For Kids

I was trying to think of a way to track my kid’s habits this summer as to not find ourselves at the first of August thinking, “Did we even open a book all summer?” My natural parenting instincts are not that great and entire weekends are sometimes spent in front of the TV before I realize that the days are gone and we’ve done absolutely nothing enriching. Plus, I work full time so it’s hard to find the energy to nag my kids about anything in the few hours in the evenings we have together.

BUT! If I found a way to motivate them to do something productive with some of their time during the day, then maybe I could avoid being the nagging Mom at night. I decided to use my habit tracker page as inspiration to make something for the kids. That’s when this Summer Habit Tracker was born.

It’s a 2-page horizontal spread and it includes the basics (reading, math, exercise) plus my favorite Educational YouTube channel: Crash Course. There are so many great educational topics on there and I’m really hoping we can watch those videos together and discuss them. I haven’t quite figured out how I’ll reward them yet, or at what level, but this is a start. I’m thinking the goal will be 3/4 tasks each day and maybe if we meet that goal 5 days a week we get a movie night? I’m not sure. I’m still working out that part.

And just in case anyone is interested, I made it a bit more generic and am offering it for a free download either here (you can also click the image above to download it) or on my printables page. Enjoy!

You Are Not Alone.

You Are Not Alone.

I wrote this on my Facebook page earlier this morning and even made a coloring page to remind myself…not everyone has their life together. Not everyone can just “be positive” with a forced smile and a jaunt in their step. If you need this reminder too…feel free to download this page for your bullet journal. Make sure you don’t “fill page” when you print, I sized it for a moleskine or a LT1917.

“This time of year, with resolutions upon us, I’m seeing tons of memes simplifying the journey to positivity or joy or happiness like it’s as easy getting dressed in the morning. Unfortunately, some people honestly can’t just “be happy” or “be positive” or “change their attitude” with a cheerful mantra in the mirror and a forced smile. Some are trapped in a dark fog that no inspirational message typed on a sunset can cure. If you are one of those people, please know you are not alone. You are not the only one who can’t “just be positive” like all of the memes say. Please, just hang in there. This time of year is hard on many if us, not just you. Just make it to tomorrow. Get the help you need and don’t be afraid to ask for it just because the world around you seems to be more in control of their joy than you are. Most of us are just as lost and hiding behind self-help books and donuts. Reach out. YOU ARE NOT ALONE.”

December 2015 Vertical Calendar Page

december2015vertWell, I’m still working the layout size for these vertical monthly pages. This has been a project I’ve been working on to provide vertical pages to those who prefer that over my standard horizontal, but also I wanted something I would use on the printable – hence the DECEMBER coloring page. As always – I print these once and just test them on my Leuchtturm1917. They’re not super-high quality (which is why they’re just free downloads) so don’t expect something detailed in high resolution! I’m hoping to offer the full calendar year (at least of the month grid, if not the coloring pages) in the next few weeks!
